Niagara Wine Country Tour

Trade the roar of the Falls for the quiet of the vines. Twenty minutes north of Niagara Falls, the Niagara Parkway runs through one of the world’s great cool-climate wine regions, and this half-day tour takes you into the heart of it.

You’ll visit three of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s founding estate wineries with a guided tasting at each, and spend 70 minutes exploring the heritage streets of Old Town at your own pace. Transport, your guide and every tasting are arranged before you arrive, so nobody has to drive and nobody has to plan.

Itinerary

11:00am  Pickup from your Niagara Falls hotel.

11:35am  Inniskillin Winery (1 hour). Niagara-on-the-Lake’s original estate winery and the house that carried Canadian Icewine to the world. A guided tasting of the estate’s VQA portfolio finishing with Icewine, served with an artisanal charcuterie board.

12:45  pmReif Estate Winery (1 hour). A family winery founded in 1982 on vines first planted in 1977. A behind-the-scenes walking tour from vineyard to working cellar, tasting three of Reif’s signature wines.

1:55pm  Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake (70 minutes free time). Queen Street’s heritage storefronts, the Niagara Apothecary, the Prince of Wales Hotel, chocolate shops and sidewalk patios.

3:15pm  Peller Estates Winery (1 hour). A seated guided tasting of four VQA wines from the Peller portfolio, plus time in the estate boutique.

4:30pm  Return to your hotel.

• All guests must be 19 years of age or older, Ontario’s legal drinking age. Photo identification is required and may be requested at any winery.
• A reduced Non-Drinking Guest rate is available. It includes everything listed above except the wine tastings, and guests booked at this rate cannot be served alcohol at any stop on the tour.
• Tasting selections vary by season and by availability at each estate. We reserve the right to substitute a wine, an experience or a winery of comparable value.
• Lunch is not included, but there is time to buy something to eat during your free time in Old Town.
• Wine purchased on tour travels with you on the coach. Guests returning to the United States are responsible for their own duty and customs allowances.
• The tour involves walking on uneven ground and some stairs at the wineries.
